This paper investigated the hidden dimensions of the environmental performance index distribution of 177 countries utilizing fractal analysis. Results showed countries with lower EPI are more pervasive than countries with higher EPI. It also indicated a strong significant relationship existed between GDP per capita and HDI on countries’ EPI scores. On the other hand, developing countries would be in danger of facing numerous environmental challenges. In this paper, the researchers proposed a new theory on "dynamic model for the national economy and environment resources" suggesting that nations that are vigilant in addressing environmental concerns will have higher poverty incidence since EPI drives the nations into poverty.
