This study aims to determine how long grammar 0 (native language) has adopted grammar 1 (Net lingo) and to stimulate how language change manisfest between the two linguistic variants. This study uses an agent-based simulation software called NETLOGO 5.2.1 (2005), in which the principal is Uri Wilensky. After 130 runs, the result revealed that the higher the threshold value, the fastest it adopts the language (grammar 1). In general, net lingo is accelerating the evolution of language. People using the Net Lingo influence those who don’t. However, the cycle continues as the person who uses the NET LINGO gets back to its native language years after. Therefore, the net lingo affects our own and native language that leads people to lead linguistic innovation.
