The study intended to determine the levels of knowledge, understanding and commitment of present and future educators on global and globalization issues. The researchers used a quantitative method particularly employing the descriptive-survey design. The respondents of this study were the teachers and student-teachers in the public and private HEIs of Southern Leyte. It was found that both teachers and student-teachers have little knowledge, low level of understanding and commitment to most of the global and globalization issues. This revelation strengthens the need to enhance teachers’ and student-teachers’ awareness on the possible effects of globalization.
